Nuffield Health approached us to create two adverts promoting their gyms and hospitals under the brand campaign “built around you.” We constructed physical sets and combined them with 3D animation and VFX to emphasize that their services are customised to meet your needs. The scenes were built around multiple customers in real-time as they moved through the spaces, visually representing the concept of the ad.

As architects, it was great to dust off the old drawing board and design some architecture that would be built for the set. We aimed to achieve as much as possible in camera, rather than using any green screen, to make the scenes feel as grounded as possible. This would allow us to add in animation later to heighten things further.

Both ads aired on national television over the Christmas period 2017 and were successful in bringing thousands of new customers into Nuffield services.
