brief
We've made a modern string orchestra which imitates a classic synth sound music library and need an epic trailer to release it with.
Polaris is an architectural project about how we tried to harness the weather. A weather research outpost sits dormant after years of abandonment. The wind which once sustained the settlement on Polaris is now gone, all that remains is the battered kinematic turbine and dormant flags. A long-awaited turn in the weather breaths new life into Polaris. Polaris is a short cinematic trailer created in collaboration with Spitfire Audio.
Making
The making involved designing the architectural proposition, and then deconstructing it for the film.
We designed, animated, simulated and produced this fully CGI spot. A lot of research and development goes into these types of projects and Spitfire is amazing at letting us loose with an agreed-upon concept, allowing for total creative freedom.

A plethora of visual material to be used in the product launch.
We produced not only the film but several images and graphics to be used across their website and social media for the release of the Polaris plugin.
I enjoyed the polarity of mixing nature with architecture, to the plugins ability of mixing orchestral strings with synths.
