What if the sphere was a window into the Liquid I.V. research laboratory?
Factory Fifteen partnered with Nexus Studios to celebrate Liquid I.V.’s Formula 1 sponsorship with an eye popping experience for the Sphere. The molecule/shaped hexagon was used as a window into the Liquid I.V. laboratory where hydration meets science. Outside of this window the Sphere was used as a container filling with water, spinning to transition between the different scenes inside the laboratory and eventually to mix the powder coming from the sachet, keeping a bold, fun and sciency mood to represent the defining characteristics of the brand.

A significant amount of R&D went into perfecting the water simulation for a spherical canvas, striking the right balance between realism and control. We aimed for movement and shimmer that read clearly as water, avoiding any drift into a carbonated or bubbly feel, while ensuring the liquid conveyed the purity associated with Liquid I.V.’s Powder. Achieving this required precise adjustments to viscosity, refraction, and how the fluid wrapped around the Sphere’s curvature, ultimately capturing a clean, refreshing sense of hydration on a uniquely challenging surface.
It was a pleasure to work on a project that spanned so many areas of animation. From character animation and motion graphics to particles, smoke and liquid simulations. Ensuring all these elements worked together harmoniously was essential.

Over the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix 2025 weekend, the piece lit up the Sphere before one of the world’s biggest audiences, bringing the Liquid I.V. ethos, and its partnership with Formula 1, to center stage. With its larger than life scale and immersive visuals, the activation transformed the Sphere into a beacon of innovation and performance, reinforcing Liquid I.V.’s commitment to science-backed hydration at one of the most high-profile moments in global sport.
