Paul Nicholls is a Bafta Award Winning amd Emmy nominated Director. He specialises in combining architecture and media into new types of artistic and cultural experiences.
Paul Nicholls is a Bafta Award Winning and Emmy Emmy-nominated director. He gained a first class Masters in architecture at The Bartlett UCL in 2011 before going onto co-found Factory Fifteen where he acts as CEO and Chief Creative officer. Over the past 14 years (through the alias of Factory Fifteen), Paul has directed films, animations, and experiences seen the world over.
Notable directorial highlights include the BBC Tokyo Olympics advert for the BBC, which was shot across Tokyo and London and included world class animation and VFX design, crafting several films for the now infamous UFC-306 at the Vegas Sphere, (the world’s most technologically advanced venue and largest indoor immersive screen), The International Woolmark Awards Show 2018, where he combined interactive media, immersive spectacle and considered exhibit design into one unforgettable fashion show, an immersive Holiday Joyride for Kia Cars and St Jude’s Cancer Research Hospital, transporting children from their hospital to the north pole, designing the future of the UAE for Dubai Expo in the form of an interactive Mirage, designing an immersive film to launch Vision 2030 to the world among many others.
Pauls education in architecture and his craft in film-making combine to push the boundaries of experiential storytelling, creating engaging immersive worlds that put you in the centre of the story.
Paul has won a rafter of awards over the years including selection for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Creators Showcase at Cannes Lion, A Bafta, 3 Emmy nominations and several high-profile CGI awards and nominations.
