Promotional video for Finnish tech leader Solita
In early 2021, I was approached by Ntropic London to help create a promotional film for Finnish technology, data and insight leaders, Solita. Working closely with the Ntropic team, my role was to help bring the original concept to life and oversee its translation into a fully realised visual experience. Together with a talented team of artists at Revenant, we crafted every aspect of the film, from environment design, character development and animation through to particle systems, lighting, texturing and final compositing, ensuring the finished piece captured both the ambition of the concept and the innovative spirit of the Solita brand.

The aim was to create a concise yet impactful film that reflected Solita’s position at the cross-section of technology, data and human insight. The narrative was designed to unfold with clarity and purpose, visualising the flow, transformation and potential of data in a way that felt both sophisticated and accessible. Through a combination of bespoke Houdini simulations, procedural animation and carefully crafted environments, we developed a visual language that communicated complexity without overwhelming the audience.
Lighting played a central role in shaping the experience, guiding the viewer through moments of discovery, connection and progress. Every element was then meticulously composited to enhance the sense of momentum and transformation, culminating in the reveal of the Solita brand identity. The result was a visually distinctive film that balanced technical innovation with clear communication, helping to express Solita’s mission of turning data and technology into meaningful business impact.

The finished film successfully captured the ambition and forward-thinking nature of the Solita brand, providing a distinctive visual piece that stood apart from more traditional corporate communications. Its combination of technical sophistication and strong visual storytelling resonated well with both the client and stakeholders, helping to reinforce Solita’s position as a leader in digital transformation and data-driven innovation. The collaboration was extremely well received, resulting in a final film that not only met the project’s objectives but also demonstrated how complex ideas can be communicated through compelling and accessible visual experiences.
One of the most rewarding challenges of the project was defining a visual language for data within a natural environment. It was important that the digital elements felt intrinsically connected to the organic world around them, rather than appearing as something imposed upon it. Achieving that balance required extensive exploration and experimentation, with a significant portion of the development process dedicated to testing how information, energy and connectivity could be represented in a way that felt seamless, elegant and believable. The result was a visual approach that allowed technology and nature to coexist harmoniously, reinforcing the core themes of the film.
